2 large ripe bananas (about 230 g mashed)

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted (113 g)

1 cup granulated sugar (200 g)

1 large egg

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup all-purpose flour (125 g)

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)

1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×9-inch baking pan with parchment paper.

Mash ripe bananas in a mixing bowl until smooth.

Add melted butter, sugar, egg, and vanilla extract. Whisk until smooth.

In another bowl, mix flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.

Add dry ingredients to the banana mixture and stir gently until combined.

Fold in walnuts or chocolate chips if desired.
