Description

Glazed, sticky, and bursting with flavor, this Caramelised Soy Chicken is the weeknight dinner everyone will crave. Your kitchen will smell incredible and the leftovers taste even better.


Ingredients

  • 2 lb boneless chicken thighs, cut into chunks

  • 1/3 cup soy sauce

  • 1/4 cup honey or brown sugar

  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar

  • 1 tbsp sesame oil

  • 4 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1 inch fresh ginger, grated

  • 1/2 cup water

  • 1 tbsp cornstarch mixed with 1 tbsp water (optional)

  • Sesame seeds and green onions for garnish


Instructions

  1. Pat chicken dry and cut into even pieces.

  2. Heat sesame oil in a skillet and sear chicken until golden on both sides.

  3. Add garlic and ginger and cook until fragrant.

  4. Pour in soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, and water and stir well.

  5. Simmer for 10–12 minutes until sauce thickens.

  6. Add cornstarch slurry if needed for a thicker glaze.

  7. Stir until chicken is fully coated and sticky.

  8. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions and serve hot.
