Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter

  • Optional: powdered sugar for dusting


Instructions

  • Gather ingredients and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Zest and juice oranges.

  • In a saucepan, combine sugar, corn syrup, orange juice, zest, and salt. Stir until sugar dissolves.

  • Boil mixture without stirring until 250°F–265°F using a candy thermometer.

  • Remove from heat and stir in butter and vanilla extract until smooth.

  • Pour mixture onto prepared sheet, spread evenly, and cool 10–15 minutes.

  • Cut into squares, rectangles, or strips. Optionally dust with powdered sugar.
