Ingredients

2 sheets puff pastry, thawed

8 oz full fat cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1 large egg

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 tsp lemon zest

1 egg yolk

1 tbsp milk

2 tbsp powdered sugar
Instructions

Preheat oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Roll puff pastry sheets lightly and cut into equal rectangles.

Score a border around each rectangle, leaving the center intact.

Beat cream cheese until smooth, then mix in sugar, egg, vanilla, and lemon zest.

Spoon filling into the center of each pastry.

Brush pastry edges with egg yolk mixed with milk.

Bake for 18 to 22 minutes until puffed and golden.
