Ingredients

  • 32 oz frozen shredded hashbrowns, thawed

  • 1 can condensed cream of chicken soup

  • 1 cup sour cream

  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided

  • 1/2 cup melted unsalted butter

  • 1/2 cup finely diced onion

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

  • 1 cup crushed cornflakes or breadcrumbs


Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 9×13 inch dish.

  • Mix melted butter, sour cream, and condensed soup in a large bowl.

  • Add garlic powder, salt, pepper, and onion. Stir in 1 1/2 cups cheese.

  • Fold in thawed hashbrowns until coated.

  • Spread into baking dish and top with remaining cheese.

  • Combine crushed cornflakes with a bit of melted butter and sprinkle on top.

  • Bake 45–50 minutes until bubbling and golden.
