Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 oz spaghetti or linguine

  • 1 lb large prawns, peeled and deveined

  • 2 tbsp toasted sesame oil

  • 2 tbsp neutral oil

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated

  • 2 tbsp soy sauce or tamari

  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar

  • 1 tbsp honey or brown sugar

  • 1/2 tsp chili flakes, optional

  • 2 sheets nori, sliced

  • 2 tbsp toasted sesame seeds

  • Salt and black pepper

  • 2 scallions, sliced


Instructions

  • Cook pasta in salted water until al dente, reserve some pasta water, and drain.

  • Season and sear prawns in neutral oil until pink and lightly golden, then set aside.

  • Saute garlic and ginger briefly in the same pan until fragrant.

  • Stir in soy sauce, vinegar, honey, and chili flakes and simmer briefly.

  • Add pasta with a splash of pasta water and toss to coat.

  • Return prawns to the pan and drizzle in sesame oil.

  • Fold in nori and sesame seeds, adjust seasoning, and serve hot.
