In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. In another bowl, beat eggs, then whisk in buttermilk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Combine wet and dry ingredients gently.

Divide the batter into three bowls. Add increasing amounts of pink food coloring to create light, medium, and dark shades.

Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and lightly grease.

Pour the lightest pink batter to form a small circle. Cook 2–3 minutes until bubbles appear, then flip and cook 1–2 minutes. Repeat with medium and dark shades, stacking as you go.
