Description

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup light brown sugar

  • 2 large eggs

  • 1 teaspoon peppermint extract

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

  • 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

  • 1/2 cup crushed peppermint candies


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and line baking sheets with parchment paper.

  2. Cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy.

  3. Add eggs, vanilla, and peppermint extract, mixing until smooth.

  4. Whisk dry ingredients in a separate bowl.

  5. Mix dry ingredients into wet ingredients until just combined.

  6. Fold in chocolate chips and crushed peppermint.

  7. Chill dough for 30 minutes.

  8. Scoop dough onto baking sheets, spacing evenly.

  9. Bake for 9 to 11 minutes until edges set.

  10. Cool briefly, then transfer to a rack and enjoy.
