Description

Juicy, bold, and packed with creamy avocado goodness, this Mexican inspired burger will upgrade your burger night instantly. One bite and you will crave it again and again.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef 80/20 blend

  • 1 teaspoon chili powder

  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin

  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh cilantro

  • 4 burger buns

  • 1 ripe avocado sliced

  • 4 slices pepper jack cheese

  • 1 medium tomato sliced

  • 1/2 small red onion thinly sliced

  • 1 cup shredded lettuce

  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise

  • 1 tablespoon lime juice

  • 1 teaspoon hot sauce optional


Instructions

  • In a bowl combine ground beef, chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and cilantro. Form into four patties and press a small indent in the center of each.

  • Stir mayonnaise, lime juice, and hot sauce in a small bowl to create the sauce.

  • Heat a grill or skillet over medium high heat and cook patties for 4 to 5 minutes per side. Add cheese during the last minute to melt.

  • Toast burger buns cut side down until golden.

  • Spread sauce on the bottom bun, add lettuce, patty, tomato, onion, avocado, and close with the top bun. Serve immediately.
