1 lb ground beef 80/20 blend

1 teaspoon chili powder

1 teaspoon ground cumin

1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1 tablespoon chopped fresh cilantro

4 burger buns
-
1 ripe avocado sliced

4 slices pepper jack cheese

1 medium tomato sliced

1/2 small red onion thinly sliced

1 cup shredded lettuce
-
2 tablespoons mayonnaise

1 tablespoon lime juice
-
1 teaspoon hot sauce optional
Instructions

In a bowl combine ground beef, chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and cilantro. Form into four patties and press a small indent in the center of each.

Stir mayonnaise, lime juice, and hot sauce in a small bowl to create the sauce.

Heat a grill or skillet over medium high heat and cook patties for 4 to 5 minutes per side. Add cheese during the last minute to melt.

Toast burger buns cut side down until golden.

Spread sauce on the bottom bun, add lettuce, patty, tomato, onion, avocado, and close with the top bun. Serve immediately.
