1 cup unsalted butter, softened

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 cup packed brown sugar

1/2 cup heavy cream

1/4 cup unsalted butter

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 1/2 cups chopped pecans

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.

In a bowl, beat butter and sugar until creamy. Mix in flour and salt until a soft dough forms.

Press the dough evenly into the pan and bake for 15–18 minutes until lightly golden.

In a saucepan, combine brown sugar, butter, and heavy cream. Heat while stirring until bubbling, then simmer for 2 minutes. Stir in vanilla.

Sprinkle chopped pecans over the baked crust. Pour caramel mixture evenly on top.

Bake again for 15 minutes until caramel bubbles slightly.
