This Festive Christmas Bread is the holiday bake everyone will talk about. Soft, sweet, and beautifully golden, it is perfect for every Christmas table.
Ingredients

4 cups (480g) all-purpose flour

1 packet (2 ¼ tsp / 7g) instant yeast

½ cup (100g) granulated sugar

1 cup (240ml) warm milk

2 large eggs

½ cup (113g) unsalted butter, softened

1 tsp (5ml) vanilla extract

1 tsp (2g) ground cinnamon

1 cup (150g) mixed dried fruit

Zest of 1 orange (optional)

Pinch of salt
Instructions

Whisk flour, sugar, cinnamon, and salt in a large bowl.

Add yeast, warm milk, eggs, and vanilla, then mix to form a dough.

Add softened butter gradually and knead until smooth and elastic.

Stir in dried fruit until evenly distributed.

Let the dough rise for 1 to 1.5 hours until doubled.

Shape the dough into a loaf or braid and place on a lined tray.

Let it rise again for 30–45 minutes.

Brush with egg wash and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30–35 minutes.

Cool before slicing and serving.
