Description
A flaky tart that looks fancy but is surprisingly easy to make. This sweet and creamy fig tart is the kind of recipe that impresses guests every single time.
Ingredients

1 sheet puff pastry (about 250 g / 9 oz)

6–8 fresh figs, sliced

150 g brie cheese, sliced

¾ cup ricotta cheese

1 tablespoon honey

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves

1 teaspoon lemon zest

¼ teaspoon sea salt

¼ teaspoon black pepper

1 tablespoon chopped walnuts or pistachios (optional)

1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

1 tablespoon balsamic glaze
Instructions

Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Roll the puff pastry slightly and place it on the baking sheet. Score a 1-inch border around the edges.

Mix ricotta cheese, lemon zest, salt, pepper, and half of the thyme in a bowl. Spread over the pastry inside the border.

Arrange sliced brie over the ricotta layer. Place sliced figs evenly on top.

Brush the pastry edges with beaten egg and drizzle olive oil over the figs.

Bake for 20–25 minutes until the pastry turns golden and the cheese melts.

Remove from oven, drizzle with honey and balsamic glaze, sprinkle nuts if desired, then slice and serve warm.
