1 cup whole milk

1/2 cup vegetable oil

2 tsp vanilla extract

1 cup hot coffee or hot water

1/2 cup unsalted butter

2/3 cup cocoa powder

3 cups powdered sugar

1/3 cup milk

1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.

Whisk flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.

Add eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla, then mix until combined.

Slowly stir in hot coffee until smooth and thin.

Pour batter into pan and bake 30 to 35 minutes.

Cool completely before frosting.

Melt butter, stir in cocoa, then whisk in powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla.
