Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/4 cups (150g) all-purpose flour

  • 3/4 cup (150g) granulated sugar

  • 1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter, softened

  • 2 large eggs (100g)

  • 1/2 cup (120ml) whole milk

  • 2 tsp (10ml) vanilla extract

  • 1 1/2 tsp (6g) baking powder

  • 1/4 tsp (1g) salt


Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with paper liners.

  • Cream butter and sugar for 2–3 minutes until light and fluffy.

  • Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla.

  • Whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl.

  • Add half the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, then mix in the milk. Add remaining dry ingredients and mix gently.

  • Divide batter evenly into liners, filling each two-thirds full.

  • Bake 18–20 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.

  • Cool completely before frosting or serving.
