2 tbsp granulated sugar

8 slices brioche or challah

Butter for frying

Maple syrup and powdered sugar for serving
Instructions

Whisk eggs, milk, cream, sugar, cinnamon, vanilla, and salt in a bowl until smooth.

Heat a skillet over medium low and melt a little butter.

Soak each slice of bread for 15–20 seconds per side.
