Description

Sweet, colorful, and layered to impress, this Fruit Trifle turns simple ingredients into a dessert everyone races to the table for. Perfect for parties or whenever you crave something fresh and creamy.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb vanilla sponge cake or pound cake, cut into cubes

  • 2 cups vanilla custard, chilled

  • 1½ cups heavy whipping cream

  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 2 cups strawberries, sliced

  • 1 cup blueberries

  • 1 cup raspberries

  • ½ cup orange juice or fruit juice of choice


Instructions

  1. Cut cake into cubes and gently toss with fruit juice until lightly soaked.

  2. Whip cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until soft peaks form.

  3. Layer cake cubes in a trifle bowl and top with custard.

  4. Add a layer of mixed fruit, then spread whipped cream on top.

  5. Repeat layers until bowl is full, finishing with whipped cream and fruit.

  6. Chill for at least 2 hours before serving.
