Description

Craving something cold, creamy, and fruity? This homemade frozen strawberry yoghurt tastes like summer in every spoonful and is so easy to make at home.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and halved

  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar

  • 2 cups full-fat plain Greek yogurt

  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

  • Pinch of fine sea salt


Instructions

  • Combine strawberries, sugar, and lemon juice in a bowl. Let sit for 20 to 30 minutes.

  • Blend the strawberry mixture until smooth. Strain if desired.

  • Add yogurt, heavy cream, vanilla, and salt. Blend until creamy.

  • Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.

  • Churn in an ice cream maker for 20 to 25 minutes, or freeze in a shallow container and stir every 30 minutes.

  • Freeze until firm, about 2 to 4 hours, then scoop and serve.
