- 1 cup whole milk
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 2 cups fresh strawberries
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 8 oz cream cheese
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 2 tbsp coconut oil
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F and prepare two 8-inch cake pans.
- Mix dry ingredients in one bowl and wet ingredients in another.
- Combine into a smooth batter and divide between pans.
- Bake for 28 to 32 minutes, then cool completely.
- Toss strawberries with sugar and lemon juice.
- Prepare frosting by mixing cream cheese and whipped cream.
- Layer cake with frosting and strawberries.
- Chill the cake for 30 minutes.
- Melt chocolate with coconut oil.
- Pour chocolate over chilled cake and let set before slicing.
