Ingredients

  • 4 boneless chicken breasts (about 1.5 lbs or 680 g)

  • 1/2 cup maple syrup

  • 1/4 cup bourbon

  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans

  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tsp smoked paprika

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1/2 tsp black pepper


Instructions

  • Pat chicken dry and season with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika.

  • Heat olive oil and sear chicken for 4–5 minutes per side until golden. Remove and set aside.

  • Toast pecans in the skillet for 2 minutes, then transfer to a bowl.

  • Add butter to skillet, then cook garlic for 30 seconds. Stir in maple syrup, bourbon, and Dijon mustard. Simmer 3–4 minutes to thicken.

  • Return chicken to the pan and coat in the glaze. Simmer 5–6 minutes until cooked through.

  • Add toasted pecans during the final minute and coat in the sauce before serving.
