Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 8 hot dogs
  • 8 cups water
  • â…“ cup baking soda
  • 1 egg
  • Coarse salt

Instructions

  • Mix warm water, sugar, and yeast, then let it sit until foamy.
  • Add flour, salt, and butter, then knead into a smooth dough.
  • Let the dough rise until doubled in size.
  • Divide dough and roll into long ropes.
  • Wrap each rope around a hot dog.
  • Boil wrapped hot dogs briefly in baking soda water.
  • Brush with egg and sprinkle with salt.
  • Bake until golden brown and serve warm.
