Description

This Prosecco Berry Trifle is the ultimate party dessert. Light, bubbly, and bursting with berries, it looks stunning and tastes even better.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb. pound cake or sponge cake, cut into cubes

  • 1 cup prosecco, chilled

  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream

  • 3 tbsp granulated sugar

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 2 cups prepared vanilla custard

  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced

  • 1 cup fresh blueberries

  • 1 cup fresh raspberries

  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice

  • 1 tbsp powdered sugar

  • Fresh mint leaves (optional)


Instructions

  1. Toss berries with lemon juice and powdered sugar. Let sit for 10 minutes.

  2. Whip heavy cream with sugar and vanilla until soft peaks form.

  3. Layer half of the cake cubes in a trifle dish and drizzle with half the prosecco.

  4. Spread half of the custard over the cake.

  5. Add half of the berries over the custard.

  6. Repeat layers with remaining cake, prosecco, custard, and berries.

  7. Top with whipped cream and chill for at least 2 hours before serving.
