Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 2/3 cup granulated sugar

  • 2 teaspoons baking powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 3/4 cup unsweetened almond milk

  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

  • 1/4 cup melted coconut oil or neutral oil

  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

  • 1 cup powdered sugar

  • 2 to 3 tablespoons plant milk for glaze

  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract for glaze


Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a donut pan.

  • Mix almond milk and apple cider vinegar and let sit 5 minutes.

  • Whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.

  • Stir oil and vanilla into the milk mixture, then combine with dry ingredients until just mixed.

  • Pipe batter into donut pan cavities about three quarters full.

  • Bake 10 to 12 minutes until lightly golden and springy.

  • Cool slightly, dip in glaze, and let set before serving
