Ingredients

  • 1 lb. beef sirloin, thinly sliced against the grain

  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

  • 1 large red bell pepper, sliced

  • 1 large green bell pepper, sliced

  • 1 medium onion, thinly sliced

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce

  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce

  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce

  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch

  • 1/4 cup beef broth or water

  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

  • 2 green onions, sliced for garnish


Instructions

  • Slice beef against the grain and season lightly with black pepper. Prepare vegetables and sauces.

  • Heat 1 tablespoon oil over high heat, sear beef for 1–2 minutes per side, remove and set aside.

  • Stir-fry onions and peppers for 2–3 minutes, add garlic for 30 seconds.

  • Return beef to pan, pour in sauce mixture, stir until thickened, 2–3 minutes.

  • Garnish with green onions, adjust seasoning, and serve over rice or noodles.
