  • 2 tbsp honey or brown sugar

  • 1 tbsp toasted sesame oil

  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar or lime juice

  • 1 tbsp freshly grated ginger

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds

  • 1 tbsp neutral oil

  • Skewers as needed


Instructions

  • Whisk soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, vinegar, ginger, and garlic in a bowl.

  • Marinate prawns in half the mixture for 15 to 30 minutes.

  • Thread prawns onto skewers evenly.

  • Heat grill or skillet over medium-high heat and oil lightly.

  • Cook skewers 2 to 3 minutes per side until pink and opaque.

  • Baste with remaining marinade during the last minute.

  • Remove from heat, sprinkle with sesame seeds, and serve warm.
