1 lb or 450 g large raw prawns, peeled and deveined

3 tbsp soy sauce

2 tbsp honey or brown sugar

1 tbsp toasted sesame oil

1 tbsp rice vinegar or lime juice

1 tbsp freshly grated ginger

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tbsp sesame seeds

1 tbsp neutral oil

Skewers as needed
Instructions

Whisk soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, vinegar, ginger, and garlic in a bowl.

Marinate prawns in half the mixture for 15 to 30 minutes.

Thread prawns onto skewers evenly.

Heat grill or skillet over medium-high heat and oil lightly.

Cook skewers 2 to 3 minutes per side until pink and opaque.

Baste with remaining marinade during the last minute.

Remove from heat, sprinkle with sesame seeds, and serve warm.
