Description

Sweet, savory, and perfectly sticky, these meatball pineapple smokies are a party favorite that cooks itself in the slow cooker. Your guests will be asking for seconds before the first bite is gone.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb. frozen cocktail-sized meatballs

  • 1 cup pineapple chunks (fresh or canned)

  • 1/2 cup pineapple juice

  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce

  • 1/4 cup brown sugar

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp onion powder

  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

  • 1 tbsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water (optional for thickening)


Instructions

  • Spray the slow cooker with non-stick cooking spray.

  • Mix pineapple juice, barbecue sauce, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, Worcestershire sauce, and red pepper flakes in a medium bowl.

  • Add frozen meatballs to the slow cooker and layer pineapple chunks on top. Pour sauce over meatballs.

  • Cover and cook on low for 4–5 hours or high for 2–3 hours.

  • Optional: Stir in cornstarch mixture during the last 15 minutes to thicken the sauce.

  • Gently stir and serve warm, straight from the slow cooker or on a serving dish.
