Ingredients

1.5 kg beef brisket, trimmed

2 tbsp olive oil

1 large onion, sliced

4 cloves garlic, minced

2 cups beef broth

2 tbsp tomato paste

2 tbsp brown sugar

2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

1 tsp smoked paprika

1 tsp black pepper

1.5 tsp salt

2 bay leaves
Instructions

Season brisket with salt and pepper on all sides.

Sear brisket in hot oil until browned, then remove.

Cook onion in the same pot until soft, add garlic.

Stir in tomato paste, spices, and brown sugar.

Add broth and Worcestershire sauce, scraping the pot.

Return brisket to the pot and add bay leaves.

Cover and cook in the oven at 325°F for 3 to 3.5 hours.
