Ingredients

1 cup (226 g) unsalted butter, softened

1 cup (200 g) light brown sugar

½ cup (100 g) granulated sugar

2 large eggs, room temperature

1 tablespoon (15 ml) vanilla extract

2 ¾ cups (330 g) all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon (6 g) baking soda

½ teaspoon (3 g) salt

1 ½ cups (270 g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.

Cream butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.

Mix in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla.

Whisk flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl, then add to wet ingredients.

Fold in chocolate chips.

Scoop dough onto baking sheets, leaving space between cookies.

Bake 9–11 minutes until edges are lightly golden.
