Ingredients

  • 8 oz egg noodles or lo mein noodles

  • 1 lb chicken thighs, cut into bite-size pieces

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce

  • 2 tablespoons dark soy sauce

  • 2 tablespoons honey or brown sugar

  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce

  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar

  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil

  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch

  • 2 tablespoons water

  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

  • 2 green onions, sliced

  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger


Instructions

  • Cook the noodles in boiling salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  • Toss chicken pieces with cornstarch until lightly coated.

  • Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook chicken until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.

  • In the same skillet, sauté garlic and ginger for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

  • Add soy sauce, dark soy sauce, honey, oyster sauce, and rice vinegar. Stir and bring to a gentle simmer.

  • Mix water with a teaspoon of cornstarch and pour into the sauce to thicken.

  • Return the chicken to the pan and add the cooked noodles. Toss until everything is coated in the sticky garlic sauce.

  • Garnish with green onions and optional red pepper flakes, then serve immediately.
