Description

A hearty dinner that tastes like home. These stuffed peppers are the easiest way to turn simple ingredients into something unforgettable.


Ingredients

  • 4 large bell peppers, tops removed and hollowed

  • 1 lb ground beef

  • 1 cup cooked rice

  • 1 cup tomato sauce

  • 1 medium onion, chopped

  • 2 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1 tsp paprika

  • 1 tsp dried oregano

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese


Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F and pre-bake the hollowed peppers for 10 minutes.

  • Sauté onion in olive oil, then add garlic.

  • Brown the ground beef in the skillet.

  • Season with paprika, oregano, salt, and pepper. Stir in cooked rice and tomato sauce.

  • Fill each pepper loosely with the mixture.

  • Cover with foil and bake 25 minutes.

  • Remove foil, add cheese on top, and bake 10–12 more minutes.

  • Rest for 5 minutes before serving.
