Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar

  • 1 ½ teaspoons vanilla extract

  • ½ teaspoon almond extract

  • 2 cups powdered sugar

  • 23 tablespoons milk

  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 12 drops pink gel food coloring

  • ¼ cup pink and white sprinkles


Instructions

  • Whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.

  • Beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

  • Mix in egg, vanilla, and almond extract.

  • Gradually combine dry ingredients with wet ingredients.

  • Wrap dough and chill for at least 1 hour.

  • Roll dough to ¼-inch thickness and cut into heart shapes.

  • Bake at 350°F for 8–10 minutes and cool completely.

  • Mix powdered sugar, milk, vanilla, and pink coloring to form icing.

  • Spread icing over cooled cookies and top with sprinkles.

  • Let icing set before serving or storing.
