Ingredients

  • 1 cup glutinous rice flour

  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar

  • 1 tablespoon Thai tea mix, finely ground

  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  • 1/2 cup whole milk

  • 1 large egg

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

  • 2 tablespoons sweetened condensed milk

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1 cup powdered sugar

  • 12 tablespoons strong brewed Thai tea

  • 1 teaspoon sweetened condensed milk


Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a donut pan.

  • Whisk together glutinous rice flour, all-purpose flour, sugar, Thai tea, baking powder, and salt.

  • In another bowl, whisk milk, egg, melted butter, condensed milk, and vanilla.

  • Combine wet and dry ingredients and mix until smooth.

  • Pipe batter into donut pan cavities, filling three-quarters full.

  • Bake for 12 to 15 minutes until set and lightly springy.

  • Cool slightly, then transfer to a wire rack.

  • Whisk powdered sugar, brewed Thai tea, and condensed milk to make glaze.

  • Dip cooled donuts into glaze and let set before serving
