Ingredients

6 cups chicken or vegetable broth

1 cup pastina pasta

2 tablespoons unsalted butter

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 small onion, finely diced

1 garlic clove, minced

1 large egg, optional

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Salt and black pepper to taste

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions

Heat olive oil and butter in a saucepan over medium heat until melted.

Add onion and cook until soft, then stir in garlic briefly.
