- 1 cup granulated sugar (200 g)
- 1/3 cup water (80 ml)
- 1 1/2 cups unsalted butter, softened (340 g)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (5 ml)
- 1/4 teaspoon salt (1.5 g)
Instructions
- Combine sugar and water in a saucepan and heat until it reaches 240°F (115°C).
- Beat egg whites until soft peaks form.
- Slowly pour hot syrup into egg whites while mixing.
- Whip until the mixture cools to room temperature.
- Add butter gradually while mixing continuously.
- Add vanilla and salt, then whip until smooth and fluffy.
