- 1 cup (227 g) unsalted butter
- 1 cup (200 g) brown sugar
- 1/2 cup (100 g) granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tsp bourbon
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 1/4 cups (280 g) all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup (170 g) semi-sweet chocolate chunks
- 3/4 cup (90 g) toasted pecans
Instructions
- Brown butter in a saucepan until golden and nutty, then cool slightly.
- Mix browned butter with sugars, then add eggs, bourbon, and vanilla.
- Whisk dry ingredients in a separate bowl and combine with wet mixture.
- Fold in chocolate chunks and toasted pecans evenly.
- Chill dough for at least 45 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and scoop dough onto baking sheets.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes, then cool before serving.
