Ingredients

  • 1 cup (200 g) brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup (100 g) granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp bourbon
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 cups (280 g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup (170 g) semi-sweet chocolate chunks
  • 3/4 cup (90 g) toasted pecans

Instructions

  • Brown butter in a saucepan until golden and nutty, then cool slightly.
  • Mix browned butter with sugars, then add eggs, bourbon, and vanilla.
  • Whisk dry ingredients in a separate bowl and combine with wet mixture.
  • Fold in chocolate chunks and toasted pecans evenly.
  • Chill dough for at least 45 minutes.
  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and scoop dough onto baking sheets.
  • Bake for 10–12 minutes, then cool before serving.
