- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon culinary-grade matcha powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup white chocolate chips
Instructions
- Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat until golden brown specks appear and the butter smells nutty.
- Let the browned butter cool slightly, then whisk with brown sugar and granulated sugar.
- Add eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
- In another bowl, whisk flour, matcha powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually combine dry ingredients with wet ingredients.
- Fold in white chocolate chips.
- Chill the dough for at least 45 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 350°F and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Scoop dough onto prepared baking sheets.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are lightly golden.
- Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
