Fall in love with this Easy Black Forest Trifle that layers chocolate, cherries, and cream into pure dessert bliss. It looks fancy but comes together with almost no effort.

- 1 chocolate cake (9-inch or 23 cm, cut into cubes)
- 2 cups heavy whipping cream
- 1/3 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups cherry pie filling or stewed cherries
- 1/4 cup cherry juice or liqueur (optional)
- 1/2 cup dark chocolate shavings or chips
- 1 cup chocolate pudding (optional)
Instructions
- Cut the chocolate cake into cubes and lightly drizzle with cherry juice or liqueur.
- Whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until soft peaks form.
- Add a layer of cake cubes to the bottom of a trifle dish.
- Spoon cherry filling over the cake layer.
- Spread whipped cream on top and sprinkle with chocolate shavings.
- Repeat the layers until the dish is full, finishing with cream and chocolate.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.
