- 1 cup active sourdough starter
- 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- ½ cup milk
- ¼ cup sugar
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp lemon zest
- 1 cup blueberries
- 1 tsp lemon juice
Instructions
- Mix sourdough starter, milk, sugar, butter, egg, and vanilla in a bowl.
- Add flour and salt, then mix into a soft dough.
- Stir in lemon zest and lemon juice.
- Fold in floured blueberries gently.
- Let dough rise for 4 to 6 hours.
- Shape into a loaf and place in a pan.
- Let rise again for 1 to 2 hours.
- Bake at 350°F for 40 to 45 minutes.
- Cool before slicing and serving.
