Description

Halloween party food should be playful, delicious, and easy to share. These spooky snacks bring a festive touch to your celebration, with fun decorations and familiar flavors that guests of all ages can enjoy.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package (13.8 oz / 390 g) refrigerated pizza dough
  • 8 oz (225 g) shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) pizza sauce
  • 8 mini sausages
  • 1 sheet (8 oz / 225 g) puff pastry
  • 8 oz (225 g) softened cream cheese
  • 1 cup (240 g) sour cream
  • 1 cup (100 g) shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups (450 g) popped popcorn
  • 1/2 cup (85 g) chocolate chips
  • 1 cup (150 g) assorted Halloween candies
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs
  • Black olives, for decoration

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the pizza dough and cut it into small rectangles or rounds. Spread each piece with pizza sauce and sprinkle with mozzarella.
  3. Cut additional mozzarella into thin strips. Arrange the strips over the pizzas to resemble mummy bandages, leaving room for eyes.
  4. Bake the mini pizzas for 10 to 15 minutes, or until golden and bubbly. Allow them to cool slightly and decorate with small pieces of black olive.
  5. Cut the puff pastry into thin strips. Wrap the strips around the mini sausages, leaving space for their faces.
  6. Place the wrapped sausages on a baking sheet, brush lightly with olive oil, and bake according to the pastry package directions until golden and crisp.
  7. Beat the cream cheese and sour cream together until smooth. Stir in cheddar cheese, salt, pepper, and dried Italian herbs.
  8. Transfer the dip to a serving bowl. Pipe sour cream circles across the surface and drag a toothpick through them to create a spiderweb design. Add an olive spider if desired.
  9. Spread the popped popcorn across a baking sheet. Melt the chocolate chips in short microwave intervals, stirring until smooth.
  10. Drizzle the chocolate over the popcorn, sprinkle with Halloween candies, and let the chocolate set before breaking the popcorn into clusters.
  11. Arrange the pizzas, sausage bites, dip, and popcorn on serving platters. Add crackers or vegetable sticks alongside the dip.
  12. Serve warm appetizers promptly, keep perishable dips chilled, and refrigerate leftovers within 2 hours.
