- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2–3 tablespoons fresh orange juice for glaze

Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a loaf or cake pan.
- Whisk flour, poppy seeds, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
- Beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla, orange zest, and orange juice.
- Alternate adding dry ingredients and milk into the batter.
- Pour batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 40–50 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool the cake for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
- Whisk powdered sugar, orange juice, and zest to make the glaze.
- Drizzle glaze over the warm cake, slice, and serve.
