- 1 cup (200 g) granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup (60 g) all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup (30 g) unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup (85 g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup (113 g) unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup (100 g) packed brown sugar
- 1/4 cup (50 g) granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) vanilla extract
- 1 1/4 cups (156 g) all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup (128 g) chocolate chips
- 12 Oreo cookies, roughly chopped
- 4 to 6 Oreo cookies for topping
- Extra chocolate chips for topping
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch (23 cm) square baking pan and line it with parchment paper.
- Whisk melted butter and granulated sugar together. Add eggs and vanilla, then mix until smooth and glossy.
- Add flour, cocoa powder, and salt to the brownie mixture. Stir gently until combined, then fold in the chocolate chips.
- Beat softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar in a separate bowl until creamy.
- Add the egg and vanilla to the cookie mixture and mix until combined.
- Add flour, baking soda, and salt. Stir until a soft dough forms, then fold in the chocolate chips and chopped Oreos.
- Spread the brownie batter evenly into the prepared pan.
- Flatten small pieces of cookie dough and place them over the brownie batter.
- Add extra chopped Oreos and chocolate chips over the top.
- Bake for 30 to 38 minutes, until the edges are set and the center remains slightly soft.
- Cool the brookies in the pan for at least 30 minutes before slicing.
- Lift the brookies out using the parchment paper, cut into squares, and serve.
