Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Combine the chopped pecans, brown sugar, granulated sugar, melted butter, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt in the baking dish.
- Pour the hot water evenly over the pecan mixture.
- Sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix evenly over the top without stirring.
- Arrange the butter slices evenly across the cake mix.
- Sprinkle the remaining pecans over the surface.
- Bake for 45 to 55 minutes until the top is golden brown and the edges are bubbling.
- Cool for about 20 minutes before serving.
