- 16 oz. refrigerated sugar cookie dough
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar, for dusting if needed
- 1 cup powdered sugar, for icing
- 2 tbsp. milk
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 2–3 drops orange food coloring
- 2–3 drops black food coloring
- 2 tbsp. Halloween sprinkles
- 2 tbsp. candy eyeballs
- 1 tbsp. colored decorating sugar, optional
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Divide refrigerated sugar cookie dough into approximately 24 portions and roll into balls.
- Place dough balls on prepared baking sheets, leaving about 2 inches between each cookie.
- Gently flatten each dough ball if desired.
- Bake for 9-12 minutes, until the edges are lightly golden and the centers remain soft.
- Cool cookies on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Whisk powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract together to make icing.
- Divide icing into bowls and tint with orange and black food coloring.
- Decorate cooled cookies with icing, candy eyeballs, sprinkles, and decorating sugar.
- Allow decorated cookies to set for 20-30 minutes before serving or storing.
