Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream, cold
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Cut the vanilla cake into bite-sized cubes and allow it to cool completely if freshly baked.
  2. Beat the softened cream cheese until smooth and creamy.
  3. Add pumpkin puree, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg. Mix until smooth.
  4. In a separate chilled bowl, whip the heavy cream until medium-stiff peaks form.

  6. Arrange half of the cake cubes in the bottom of a trifle bowl.
  7. Drizzle with caramel sauce and spread half of the pumpkin cheesecake filling over the cake.
  8. Add the remaining cake cubes and another drizzle of caramel sauce.
  9. Spread the remaining cheesecake filling evenly over the top.
  10. Cover and refrigerate for at least four hours or overnight.
