- 1 1/2 cups (188 g) all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/2 cup (100 g) packed brown sugar
- 1/4 cup (50 g) granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup (120 ml) pumpkin puree
- 2 large eggs
- 1/3 cup (80 ml) vegetable oil
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 12-cavity donut pan.
- Whisk the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and cloves in a medium bowl.
- In a separate bowl, whisk the brown sugar, granulated sugar, pumpkin puree, eggs, oil, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
- Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and stir gently until just combined.
- Pipe the batter into the prepared donut pan, filling each cavity about two-thirds to three-quarters full.
- Bake for 10 to 13 minutes, or until the donuts spring back when gently pressed.
- Cool the donuts in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack.
- Brush warm donuts with melted butter and coat with cinnamon sugar, or finish with powdered sugar or glaze.
