These cozy pumpkin donuts are soft, tender, and packed with warm fall spice. They are the perfect homemade treat for crisp mornings, weekend brunches, and coffee breaks.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/2 cups (188 g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/2 cup (100 g) packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup (50 g) granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) pumpkin puree
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/3 cup (80 ml) vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 12-cavity donut pan.
  • Whisk the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and cloves in a medium bowl.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk the brown sugar, granulated sugar, pumpkin puree, eggs, oil, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
  • Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and stir gently until just combined.
  • Pipe the batter into the prepared donut pan, filling each cavity about two-thirds to three-quarters full.
  • Bake for 10 to 13 minutes, or until the donuts spring back when gently pressed.
  • Cool the donuts in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack.
  • Brush warm donuts with melted butter and coat with cinnamon sugar, or finish with powdered sugar or glaze.
