Ingredients

  • 1 ½ lbs (680 g) ground beef (80/20 blend)
  • 1 cup (100 g) breadcrumbs
  • ½ cup (120 ml) milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 small onion, finely diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp dried parsley
  • ½ cup ketchup (for glaze)
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar (for glaze)
  • 1 tbsp mustard (for glaze)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare baking dish. Soak breadcrumbs in milk for 5 minutes.
  • Mix beef, eggs, onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, salt, pepper, and parsley gently.
  • Shape mixture into a loaf in the baking dish.
  • Combine glaze ingredients and spread half over the meatloaf.
  • Bake 40 minutes, then add remaining glaze and bake 15–20 minutes more.
  • Rest 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
