Ingredients

  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¾ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2–3 tablespoons milk
  • ½ cup unsalted butter (for buttercream)
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Food coloring (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet.
  2. Mix flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
  3. Beat butter and sugar until fluffy, then add egg and vanilla.
  4. Combine dry and wet ingredients, adding milk as needed.
  5. Chill dough for 30 minutes.
  6. Roll dough and cut into bunny shapes.
  7. Bake for 8–10 minutes and cool completely.
  8. Beat buttercream ingredients until smooth.
  9. Frost cookies and decorate as desired.
