Ingredients

  • 1 cup sourdough discard
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 cups blueberries
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup butter
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F and prepare a 9-inch baking pan.
  • Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla and sourdough discard.
  • Whisk dry ingredients separately, then combine with wet mixture, alternating with milk.
  • Fold in floured blueberries and spread batter into pan.
  • Mix crumb topping ingredients until coarse and sprinkle over batter.
  • Bake for 40–45 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Cool slightly before slicing and serving.
