Ingredients

  • 2 cups (240 g) all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp (25 g) granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp (12 g) baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp (3 g) salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 3/4 cups (420 ml) whole milk
  • 1/2 cup (113 g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tsp (5 ml) vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon, optional
  • Cooking spray or melted butter

Instructions

  • Whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  • In another bowl, whisk eggs, milk, melted butter, and vanilla.
  • Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir gently until combined.
  • Preheat and lightly grease the spiderweb waffle maker.
  • Add a modest amount of batter to the center of the waffle pattern.
  • Close the waffle maker and cook until golden and crisp.
  • Carefully remove the waffle and place it on a wire rack.
  • Repeat with the remaining batter.
  • Serve warm with maple syrup, powdered sugar, berries, whipped cream, or chocolate sauce
